Skip, skip, skip for children, young people and families facing cancer.
Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Skydive
When: Saturday 4 September 2021 - Sunday 5 September 2021
Where: Various Locations, United Kingdom
If a child can deal with the upheaval of cancer treatment, then you can throw yourself out of plane at 10,000 feet…right?
It’s time to take that life changing leap and do something incredible for young cancer patients.
For more information about taking on a sponsored skydive check out Skyline’s website.
Coronavirus Update: Your safety is always our priority and if we or the event organisers don’t feel it’s safe for your event to go ahead then we will contact you to discuss this with you. All events will be council approved, will be COVID secure and will only go ahead in line with government guidance.
Available dates: Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 September 2021.
Locations: There are airfields across the country so it should be easy to find one close by:
|Grange Over Sands||Swansea|
Registration fee: Just £35, that’s half price!
Fundraising target: The mandatory fundraising target is £430 (£450 in Maidstone, Scotland & Northern Ireland).
This could pay for 12 families to spend a night at a CLIC Sargent Home From Home, free accommodation near hospitals that keeps families close to their child while they are receiving treatment.
We will be invoiced for the cost of your place 1 week before your jump day, therefore please sign up with plenty of time to fundraise as you will not be able to jump if you have not hit the fundraising target. We will be closing the registration form on 3 September.
Discounts available for groups of 10 or more. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
We love our skydivers, and we want them to have an awesome experience! Some of the benefits of joining our team are:
- Our closed Facebook group where you can meet other CLIC Sargent sporting legends, share fundraising ideas and experiences
- A personalised CLIC Sargent t-shirt so you look awesome when flying through the skies
- We’ll shower you with advice, ideas and materials to get the money rolling in, and if you ever need us we’re only a phone call away.
Cancer is shocking, overwhelming, isolating… and completely unfair. Especially when you’re young. It takes over your life. Treatment is gruelling and your ambitions and dreams suddenly seem very far away.
We get that. That’s why CLIC Sargent fights tirelessly to stop cancer destroying young lives. We provide grants and free accommodation close to hospital to help with spiralling costs. Our care teams are on hand to help families with everything from getting benefits to treatment closer to home. And we lobby the government to make sure they get the support they’re entitled to. We’re here to make sure young cancer patients can focus on getting their lives back on track.
If you have any questions, or simply want to know more about taking on a skydive for us, please get in touch!
