Stowmarket fundraiser Paul Ekpenyong, with the help of Allen and Wendy Winchester, has once again organised the music-led event in aid of the charity which helped him and his family when their son was diagnosed with cancer.
CLIC Sargent was a huge help to us when our son, Louis, became ill with leukaemia.
Last year’s event raised a brilliant £1,013 for children and young people with cancer and organiser, Paul, hopes to beat this total in 2016.
Mr Ekpenyong said: “We would love to raise more funds this year to help even more families coping with cancer who often have the added financial burden of being away from their home in order to get the treatment their child needs."
Acts last year included Rob Hazleton; Mid Suffolk Brass; Pinned Above The Sky and star of the Voice, Jade May Jean Peters.
Wendy Winchester, owner of Winchester’s, added: “All funds raised from this event will help CLIC Sargent to continue supporting other families faced with this illness.”
The day promises to be highly entertaining and food is being kindly provided by friends. There will also be many raffle prizes on offer donated by local people and organisations.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Daisy Turner said: “We are so grateful to Paul and Allen and Wendy Winchester, for once again organising such a fantastic event.”
