Nailsea Charity Walks 2014

Walk or run your way around one of the three Nailsea Charity Walks countryside routes, and help raise money for CLIC Sargent.

For the third year running, the Rotary Club of Nailsea and Backwell are organising the Nailsea Charity Walks, a perfect opportunity to get out into the countryside and walk or run for CLIC Sargent.

With three walks to choose from, there is something to suit everyone:

Nailsea 5K “The Stroll”

Earliest start time for walkers - 9.15am - 2:30pm
Earliest start time for runners - 9am

The Nailsea 5k will appeal to families and others looking for a relatively easy, fun walk that is pushchair and wheelchair friendly.

The route uses hard surfaced footpaths that will lead walkers through the local Nailsea countryside.

The Nailsea 10K

Earliest start time - 9.15am - 12pm
Start time for runners - 9am

This 10k walk is for people who would prefer a route that is longer and slightly more challenging. It is likely to be the most popular distance, and though it is not too difficult, participants will require good walking/running shoes.

The 20K Nailsea Challenge

Earliest start time - 9.15am - 10:30am
Earliest start time for runners - 9am

The Nailsea 20k is for the more experienced who are looking for a challenge.

The walk has some stunning views and a very mixed range of walking difficulties, from quite steep climbs and descents, to using off road rural footpaths. The climbs guarantee to provide some outstanding local viewpoints.

Everyone who completes a walk will receive a medal and a certificate of achievement.

All walkers and runners can register at the Scotch Horn Centre administration desk from 8:15 am.
