Tickets are £12 for adults and £6 for under 16s.
Sam Abrahams, from La La Choirs, who are hosting the concert, runs a school competition every year with the winner performing with them at the Exeter Cathedral.
Sam said: “This will be the fourth year of running the Schools Choir Competition and each year I am amazed by the very high standard of the entries. This year we have had a record number of schools apply for the competition and I am excited to see those shortlisted for the audition in October.”
"The Cathedral is such an amazing venue and the charity is very special to us, so I’m sure it will be an experience to remember for the school chosen to perform at the concert in December for years to come. It is fantastic to see school choirs are still thriving and long may it continue!”
CLIC Sargent Singers
The event will also feature a special performance from a group of young musicians, all of whom have been affected by cancer, in a group called the CLIC Sargent Singers.
This group of talented young musicians and singers met at this year's CLIC Sargent summer music workshop. The charity's Music Programme for 16-24 year olds is part-funded by Youth Music and supports budding young singers and musicians with, or recovering from, cancer.
Projects designed to raise confidence and self-esteem includes; concert and festival trips, workshops, one to one tuition, studio recording, and performance experiences.
The CLIC Sargent singers have performed at some of England’s most iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall, as well as the wonderful Exeter Cathedral. Last year they were truly inspirational, blowing the crowd away with their talent and moving stories, and this year will be no different.
Making a Difference
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton said: “CLIC Sargent is tremendously thankful for the magnificent and continuous support we receive from the La La Choir. The work that Sam, Claire and the choir put into this event is humbling, and I cannot wait to see it all come together on the 14th December. It is going to be another incredible evening."
"Please come along and get in the Christmas spirit this December. Not only will you be making a difference to CLIC Sargent but are guaranteed a fantastic festive evening.”
With thanks to our sponsor
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton continued: “I would also like to thank our headline sponsor Apple Taxis Exeter for their support again this year.
"Thanks to their generosity and continuous support, more of the money raised on the night will be going to support children and young people with cancer.”
