As part of Peace One Day, Swansea hosted the popular Arts Music Festival and raising £450 in support of children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Peace One Day is a non-profit organisation promoting 21 September as an annual day of global unity.

The event was organised by Rene and Jennifer Harwood from Fitness Health, and included fun activities for all the family with raffles, live music, refreshments and an art exhibition.

Rene said: “We are really proud of this Arts Music Festival because it was something new for Swansea. Peace One Day was supported by celebrities such as Jude Law and Michael Douglas, so with this music festival we hope to have helped put Swansea on the map whilst supporting a great cause!”

Rene’s mother has recently been diagnosed with cancer and the family want to help support children and young people who have also been diagnosed.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Hannah Worrall, said: “We are so thrilled that Rene and Jennifer hosted such a great event in Swansea and all of their hard work paid off raising an amazing amount for young cancer patients – thank you.”
