Cancer stories

Today, 11 more children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. CLIC Sargent will fight tirelessly for them, often when they feel they can't. Here are their stories. 

Yazz's story 

Yazz was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) at  15 years old.


Matt's story 

Keen BMXer Matt was diagnosed with cancer at 19. He was supported by a CLIC Sargent Social Worker. 


Seb's story  

Seb was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer at just 18 months old. 


Jennifer's story 

Jennifer was diagnosed with APML leukaemia aged 20. 


Evie's story 

Evie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) aged three.


TJ's story 

TJ, 20, was told ‘it’s cancer’ after experiencing pain in his head and neck for several months. 


Muskaan's story 

At 12-weeks-old, Muskaan was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disorder called HLH. 


Lucien's story 

Lucien was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma - a cancerous tumour - aged two. 


Chris' story 

Keen golfer Chris was 19 when he was first diagnosed with bone cancer in his leg, and treatment was tough. 


Madison's story 

Madison was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer shortly after her 22nd birthday.
