Our policy is to make sure that purchasing and procurement using Young Lives vs Cancer funds is always carried out to achieve the most economically advantageous balance of quality, cost and service. Our suppliers have a vital part to play in helping us achieve this.
As the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, we are almost entirely reliant on voluntary donations. We always look to build trusted, reliable relationships with responsible suppliers to help us ensure that every penny raised for Young Lives vs Cancer is used as wisely as possible, whether at a local level or UK-wide.
Staff across Young Lives vs Cancer will only purchase goods and services from suppliers listed on our Preferred Suppliers List. Through this approach we aim to purchase goods and services from an agreed list of suppliers, enabling us to purchase in bulk and achieve volume discounts whenever possible.
To be included on our Preferred Suppliers List, we ask our suppliers to meet a number of criteria, including assessments about the value for money provided and level of service satisfaction delivered. All suppliers will be expected to adhere to our standard terms of business, although some exceptions to this may be possible.
