Tracy and Ian King, from Tewkesbury, took on the Big Buzz challenge to raise funds for CLIC Sargent.
Two Tewkesbury locals are turning heads with their new look after becoming LifeShavers for CLIC Sargent.
Ian and Tracy braved the clippers as part of the charity’s Big Buzz event, which encourages people to shave their heads to support children and young people with cancer, many of whom lose their hair during treatment.
Originally, Tracy was braving the shave solo, but her other half decided last minute to be bold and join Tracy as a LifeShaver.
The sponsored head shave was held in ELL Hair, watched and encouraged by family and friends.
Tracy said: “I decided to have my head shaved to raise money for kids with cancer and in memory of my brother Roger. I'm hoping to raise a massive amount of money so please help by donating and sharing the link. The lovely Emma at ELL Hair will be doing it for me”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Caroline Marshall said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to Tracy and Ian for becoming LifeShavers for CLIC Sargent. I think the finished result looks amazing!
“Every day 11 children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Many will lose their hair during treatment and our Big Buzz campaign gives you the chance to show support for them by shaving your head and raising money for CLIC Sargent."
There is still time to sponsor Tracy and Ian. To sponsor them visit their official JustGiving page to show your support."
