Are you wondering how to start 2018? Why not join us at Newquay Harbour and blow away those cobwebs by doing something amazing for CLIC Sargent.
The Newquay CLIC Sargent Fundraising Group is looking for daredevils in Cornwall to take the plunge into the Atlantic ocean on New Year’s Day to raise money for children and young people with cancer!
The entry fee is £5 per person - and you can pay on the day. All money raised will go to helping us fight for young lives against cancer. You could also raise much more by getting your friends and family to sponsor you - and remember, there will be prizes for the best fancy dress costume.
To find out more please contact organiser Hannah Eustice on 01637 831 184 or 07791 086 617.
Dip or donate
Event organiser Hannah Eustice said: “If you cannot bring yourself to jump into water that may be a little refreshing, then put on a lovely warm jacket, fill your pockets and purses with cash and get to Newquay Harbour to cheer on those who do dare face the crazy challenge.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton said: “Not only will you start 2018 in the most refreshing way possible; you will also be helping CLIC Sargent support more young cancer patients and their families. So please, whether you decide to swim or just want to cheer those swimmers on, come down to Newquay Harbour and support CLIC Sargent.”
We look forward to seeing dippers and spectators on New Year’s Day at 1.30pm.
