170 guests attended and enjoyed an evening of fun and entertainment at the garden centre, where they were the first to see the centre’s autumn/winter clothing lines.
Carolyn Spray, manager at Pentland Plants, said: "We were delighted that so many of our customers and supporters came to enjoy a great evening and at the same time, raise awareness and support for a fantastic charity."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Lucy Penman said: "This is a significant amount for the charity and we are thrilled that Pentland Plants chose CLIC Sargent to benefit from such a successful event.
"CLIC Sargent is currently fundraising for building a new Home from Home near the new children's hospital under construction in Edinburgh.
"This will provide free accommodation for children, young people and their families to stay whilst a young person is being treated after a cancer diagnosis – so the show was a great opportunity to let local people know about CLIC Sargent's Scotland Home From Home appeal.
"A big thank you to everyone at Pentland Plants, all the volunteers and volunteers models, the local business who kindly donated raffle prizes and all the guest who came along to support the event."
What could this money do?
Last year, we supported more than 580 children and young people with cancer, and their families, from Scotland. We gave more than 370 grants to a value of over £76,000, to help families deal with the financial impact of cancer.
£2,000 could pay for two families to stay for a month in a CLIC Sargent Home from Home, ensuring they are close to their child during treatment.
