Gordon Morrison BEM
Gordon joined the Appeals Committee of Sargent Cancer Care for Children in 1998, becoming a Trustee in 2000 and then Chairman in 2002.
Gordon took a lead role in co-ordinating the successful merger of Sargent Cancer Care for Children and CLIC (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood) in 2005.
Gordon continued as Joint Chairman of the merged charity CLIC Sargent before standing down 12 months later. Gordon was very honoured to be appointed Honorary President of CLIC Sargent in 2014.
Gordon is also the Chairman of World Child Cancer Global and a Trustee of World Child Cancer USA. He was awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in June 2015.
Gordon is currently Chairman of the Chaldean Group, which was established to manage interests in Chaldean Estate, (a Hertfordshire farming and agriculture contracting enterprise), Property Investment and Development along with a diverse investment portfolio. He is married to Mary, lives in Hertfordshire and has a son, daughter and four grandchildren.
Daphne Pullen OBE
Daphne has worked in the charity sector for 35 years. Daphne joined CLIC Sargent as Chair of the Board of Trustees in 2006 and remained as a committed Chair for eight years before standing down in 2014 having successfully led the newly merged charity to almost double the funds it raised every year.
In recognition of her commitment and support of CLIC Sargent, Daphne accepted the role of Honorary President in 2014.
Daphne has also held positions as National Chair of Samaritans, led Victim Support in Hertfordshire and was Trustee and chair of YMCA in Hertfordshire. Daphne is now Chair of Age UK Wiltshire.
Daphne is a passionate advocate for and on behalf of charity volunteers and the sector; in recognition of her commitment, Daphne was awarded an OBE in 2013 for services to charity.
