Leanne Scobie, Grand Central Hotel sales manager, along with colleagues Beth Parker, Martin Carroll, Fiona McPhail and Barry Makin presented a cheque for £253 raised through the Grand Central Hotel's first experience of Wig Wednesday.
Leanne said: "The team at the Grand Central were delighted to participate in CLIC Sargent's recent Wig Wednesday. Everyone got involved from receptionists on the front desk to housekeepers and even our general manager.
"It was a really fun and easy way to not only raise some money for a fantastic charity, but also some smiles from our colleagues and customers."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Rachael McLean said: "The staff at Grand Central looked fantastic in their colourful wigs and we loved hearing their stories about the general manager going to meetings in his Afro wig.
"We are so grateful to the Grand Central for their support and pleased they enjoyed taking part in this year's Wig Wednesday. We look forward to working together again soon."
What could this money do?
Last year CLIC Sargent supported more than 580 children and young people with cancer, and their families, from Scotland. We gave more than 370 grants to a value of over £76,000, to help families deal with the financial impact of cancer.
£253 could pay for 100 copies of CLIC Sargent's magazine Shout Out! for children age seven to 13 – supporting them during and after treatment and helping them feel less isolated.
