Nairn Community Centre was awash with children wearing face painted cheeks, balloons and fairy cakes as people came together on Easter Saturday to have fun, and raise money for CLIC Sargent.
Teenager Megan had wanted a special fundraising day to mark the support that CLIC Sargent had provided, and her friends and the local community really rallied around to make the day a real cracker.
There were raffle prizes to be won and Crafty Jack entertained the crowd with a wonderful musical set.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Peter Logie said: "This was a brilliant afternoon with so much work put in by one of Megan's family friends, Clair Townsend, and her team. There was something for everyone and I was bowled over by the generosity of individuals and businesses supporting the event.
"Megan did a great job selling many raffle tickets and I am delighted to say £650 was raised for our work with children and young people with cancer in the Highlands.
"This could pay for a family to stay for three weeks in our Home from Home in Glasgow or Edinburgh, providing free self-catering accommodation near the specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are many miles from the family’s own home in the Highlands."
