Ask the expert

It’s normal to have lots of different questions and feelings when you are diagnosed with cancer. It's important to talk to an adult you trust about how you feel. This might be your parent or carer, or a member of your care team.

Ask the expert

We got a bunch of CLIC Sargent experts to answer some common questions about having cancer. We got answers from social workers, nurses, play specialists and dietitians! They have all worked with children with cancer and get asked questions every day about all sorts of worries.

Other children who have had cancer themselves also talk about how they felt and give their 'expert opinions' about some of the topics below.

We hope the advice from our experts will help you feel that it’s okay to ask anything!

If you want to ask us anything, you can always email us at shoutout@clicsargent.org.uk
