Concept Environmental recently held a ladies tea party in Thornbury as part of its charity of the year fundraising, and raised £600 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
CLIC Sargent corporate partner Concept Environmental invited local women and friends of the company to a tea party, where they enjoyed an afternoon of tea, coffee, Prosecco, sandwiches and desserts all in aid of CLIC Sargent.
The afternoon ended with a raffle, to which local business and ladies attending had donated some great prizes.
They included haircuts, a meal for two, a bottle of Champagne and gift vouchers.
Concept Environmental employee Emma Traynor said: “It was a lovely social afternoon where around 50 women were welcomed for sandwiches and cakes with plenty of tea and a good chat.
“With a raffle on the day, combined with ticket sales and donations, we managed to raise just over £600 for CLIC Sargent and everyone involved praised the delicious food and lovely afternoon supporting such a good cause.”
A great fundraising event
CLIC Sargent Area Fundraising Manager Victoria Williams said: “I would like to thank Concept Environmental for its support so far this year.
The ladies tea party was a wonderful event, which involved not only the company’s staff but its local community.
"It was a great fundraising event and opportunity to raise awareness of CLIC Sargent in Thornbury.
“We really appreciate the hard work that has gone into raising the pounds – every penny raised will help provide vital support for children and young people with cancer, and their families.”
