CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland opened Paul's House, the first Home from Home in Northern Ireland at the start of 2014 - located directly opposite The Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Paul's House has had 93 'family stays' since opening in February 2014.
Our second Home from Home
CLIC Sargent’s second Home from Home is located within walking distance of the Belfast City Hospital and Cancer Centre. Construction and outfitting is expected to take up to a year, with the first families being able to use the house by the end of 2015. Facilities include: five large en suite bedrooms, shared lounge and kitchen space, a quiet room, a young persons room, outdoor space and a roof terrace.

Area Fundraising Manager, Nadine Campbell said: "We are so grateful to the Northern Ireland public and our fundraising team in Belfast for their hard work and kind hearts!
"Families in Northern Ireland make an average round trip of 95 miles, up to 5 times a week, to access the cancer treatment their child needs. This puts a big financial and emotional strain on families with the cost of travel and time spent away from home and other family members. The Homes from Home go a long way to alleviating some of these concerns."
The Northern Ireland Appeal may be over but our fundraising team is still in place raising funds to continue providing our core support to children and young people with cancer. Core support includes the Homes from Home, social workers, grants, holidays and information services.
The only specialist social work provision for children and young people with cancer in Northern Ireland is funded by CLIC Sargent and delivered in partnership with the Belfast Trust. Our team are qualified, registered social workers who have access to specialist training to enable them to undertake what can be a challenging, if rewarding, post.
We are now celebrating our one year anniversary at Paul’s House which opened its doors to the public last February. This facility is already proving to be a vital lifeline for families when their child is receiving cancer treatment.
