As well as getting your pupils involved in the 13 week programme to promote health and activity within your school, we want to provide each child with an opportunity to learn more about CLIC Sargent and help us make a difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer.
Last year CLIC Sargent supported 142 families in Devon who had a child with cancer. We fund a range of services including a social worker and two specialist nurses who are based at Derriford Hospital.
Sign up your school
If you have signed up to be a part of the Plymouth Half Marathon Schools Challenge you will receive a copy of our schools fundraising pack in the post.
For even more fundraising ideas please take a look at our A-Z of schools fundraising ideas or get in touch by calling: 01392 314 673.
To help you explain the work of CLIC Sargent to your pupils, please visit our schools resources page for assembly presentations and key stage lesson plans.
£8 could pay for a copy of What now? CLIC Sargent’s new booklet to help parents and carers whose child has just been diagnosed with cancer to understand how it may affect them. If every pupil taking part in school could raise £8, it could fund a years supply of What now? magazines.
Plymouth Half Marathon
We have a limited number of CLIC Sargent places in the Plymouth Half Marathon, so any enthusiastic parents, teachers or even governors who wish to show their support for your school can register to run with the CLIC Sargent team.
