Members of the Cheriton and Tedburn Young Farmers have worked hard to raise £4,250 for CLIC Sargent after choosing to support the charity throughout 2012.
They have organised many events including a sponsored leg wax, a trampoline-a-thon and a tandem skydive from 15,000ft. The Young Farmers group even held a dung sale, which helped to raise an astonishing £580 for children and young people with cancer.
CLIC Sargent fundraising manager, Sarah Shaw says: “This is an amazing amount of money that the group has managed to raise. On average, it costs CLIC Sargent around £4,000 to support a child or young person and their family through their cancer treatment, so this donation really will make a fantastic difference. I would like to thank everyone in the group and the local community for their support.”
