The West Midlands based company, KTC Edibles Ltd, has been partnering with CLIC Sargent for the past year and has successfully raised £40,000 in aid of our work.
KTC Edibles wanted to give back to the local community by raising funds for CLIC Sargent and has encouraged staff to organise their own fundraising events, as well as making donations on behalf of the company.
The highlight of their fundraising year was when the managing director, Sukhjinder Khera took part in the Virgin London Marathon in April 2012, raising over £30,000.
Sukhjinder said: “I have been the chairman of the local Primary Care Trust in my area, I came across the plight of young children with cancer. While the NHS is very good in medical treatment, there is a lot more stress and strain on families behind the scenes. That’s where CLIC Sargent comes in.”
The commercial director of KTC Edibles, Paresh Mehta added: “KTC are proud to have been able to support CLIC Sargent. Our employees and business partners have done extremely well in assisting to raise a total donation of £40,000. We hope that KTC’s efforts will have also assisted in increasing community awareness of children fighting cancer.”
CLIC Sargent fundraising manager, Noemie Salvaudon says: “We have been so privileged to receive KTC’s support throughout 2012. They have done amazingly to raise £40,000 and many families will benefit from their fundraising efforts.”
