Stars gathered to play football to raise vital funds for CLIC Sargent, but the star of the day was young Sam, who is currently being supported by the charity.
Peterborough vs Cancer is a celebrity football match and gala evening event in aid of cancer charities – held annually in Peterborough, which this year took place at Yaxley Football Ground.
Sam, eight, took the first kick alongside celebrities such as comedian Omid Djalili, ex footballer Marcus Gayle and actor Tamer Hassan.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Karen Roberts said: “Sam loved being treated like a celebrity and was even more delighted when they presented him with tickets to see his favorite team, Manchester United, play at Wembley.
“£4,000 was raised, which is tremendous and big thanks must go to Raph, the committee and sponsors, for organising such a wonderful event and to Yaxley Football Club for hosting the game at their ground.
“I am delighted to say that next year's event will be in support of CLIC Sargent once again, and they have set themselves a target of £10,000 which will be fantastic, so keep your eye out to see how you can enter to be a part of the team who plays the celebrities.”
