Pontardulais RFC team members from South Wales have taken part in a bank holiday rugby tournament raising a fantastic £1,181 for CLIC Sargent.
Daniel Hennah, Angela Killa and members of Pontardulais RFC organised the tournament at Pontardulais Rugby Field, Coed Bach Park.
All money raised was donated to Team Jenny’s Remember Me fund which now stands at a total of just over £3,500.
Jenny was diagnosed with small cell cancer in November 2010. She died one year later aged just 23. Her family set up the Remember Me fund in her name to help raise money for CLIC Sargent in her memory.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Ceris Bradley said: "It is fantastic to see people coming together to raise money in Jenny's memory – a terrible loss for her family and friends, but they are now doing something really positive to help other young people in South Wales diagnosed with cancer."
