Lakeland Meadowhall donates £1,100

The Meadowhall branch of the creative kitchenware company, Lakeland, has raised over £1,100 in aid of CLIC Sargent from the sales of used and returned items to their store.

In the first half of 2013, staff members selected CLIC Sargent to receive the proceeds from the stores new initiative.

Store Manager, Michelle Hulls said: “We are so pleased with the result. It’s been fantastic supporting a charity that delivers support to families affected by childhood cancer throughout the region and the country.”

The amount that Lakeland's Meadowhall branch has raised, could pay a CLIC Sargent Nurse for a week, whilst they coordinate clinical and non-clinical care for children with cancer.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Noemie Salvaudon said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you and well done to the store!”
