Alternative rock band Heel played a set to celebrate their debut album, with three support acts, all in aid of CLIC Sargent.

Band members include Margarita on vocals, Dan on guitar, Fred on bass and former CLIC Sargent employee Nick Vaughan on drums.

Nick worked in the volunteering team at CLIC Sargent, having previously been a volunteer himself. He left to pursue a career in music and when the band discussed the possibility of supporting a charity through a gig, Nick was really to support CLIC Sargent. The band were unanimous in agreement!

The big night

The band strutted onstage in stripy fisherman’s outfits, complete with woolly hats. Lead singer Maggie lit up the room and Nick played with gusto throughout!

A collection was held on the door and throughout the evening, and proceeds from ticket sales went to CLIC Sargent. The total raised will be in excess of £668.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising manager Verity Gallagher said: “It was great to finally see Nick and the band in action and an absolute pleasure to support such a fantastic event.

“Thank you so much Heel for kindly donating to us and providing a great night out for several of the London team.”
