A Welsh Wig Wednesday

Christine Tucker and her colleagues at the Grand Hotel in Port Talbot, South Wales are getting their wigs on for this year's Wig Wednesday to raise funds for children and young people with cancer, in loving memory of Christine’s daughter Nikki.

A Welsh Wig Wednesday

The Grand Hotel was last year filled with a host of colourful hairdos as staff were sponsored to wear wacky wigs for CLIC Sargent's annual fundraising event, Wig Wednesday.

Christine said: “We had a great time last year getting involved with Wig Wednesday and we are really looking forward to donning our crazy wigs this year too! It is such a colourful, positive way to remember Nikki.”

Since Nikki had cancer and sadly died in December 2011, Christine has fundraised for CLIC Sargent in order to help support the families of young cancer patients.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “We can’t wait to see everyone’s new colourful hairdos this year and we’re delighted the Grand Hotel is taking part in Wig Wednesday once again.”
