The Michelle Peacock Foundation has made a generous donation of £1,000 to CLIC Sargent’s Northern Ireland Appeal.
Before 17 year old Michelle from Islandmagee died in 2013 from a rare form of cervical cancer, she had begun to write a book about her cancer journey.
As part of the The Michelle Peacock Foundation, her family have now published the book 'Time To Take My Life Back' to raise funds for various local charities. To date, Michelle's book has raised more than £12,000.
£1,000 from book sales has been donated to CLIC Sargent's Northern Ireland Appeal, which is raising funds to build two Homes from Home in Belfast to provide free accommodation for the families of children and young people receiving cancer treatment in nearby medical centres.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Christine McClune said: "We would like to thank Michelle’s family for kindly donating £1,000 to CLIC Sargent. The amount of money raised in such a short space of time is just incredible and is going to make a real difference"
