An accountancy firm from Staffordshire held its annual charity quiz in aid of CLIC Sargent after the charity supported the tax director's son.
Inspired Accountants, based in Lichfield, raised £2,650 at the quiz which was held at Darnfield Moors Golf Club to coincide with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The local business chose to support CLIC Sargent after its tax director Steven Payton experienced first hand the care the charity offers to families.
Steven said: "It is a charity close to my own heart as they were a great help when my son, Morgan, was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was six years old.
"Without CLIC Sargent's help and support the years of treatment Morgan endured in fighting the illness would have been impossible.
"I am pleased to say that Morgan was one of the lucky ones and now leads a full and active life."
Steve added: "We had a great turnout and I would like to thank all of our clients, suppliers and business associates who attended or made a donation, helping us raise a great amount for CLIC Sargent. In fact, donations can still be made via our official JustGiving page."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Anna Finnegan said: "Last year in the West Midlands CLIC Sargent supported over 500 children and young people just like Morgan.
"It is through the support of local businesses and community groups that we are able to do this. On behalf of all of those who we support I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the quiz."
