The CLIC Sargent Online Community is a space for 16 to 24-year-olds who have, or have had, cancer to share experiences with others. It's also a place for members to connect to experts who can offer them professional advice through unique Ask The Expert sessions.
From 4 to 8 December we’re hosting a very special session, focussing on life after treatment. Four young people, our new Community Champions, will be our experts for the week and they’ll be answering members’ questions.
Our experts will be able to give advice about a range of topics from the perspective of young people with lived experience of life beyond treatment.
Zoe, one of the Community Champions, said: “Having cancer can make you feel quite isolated from the world, which is why I think that having an online community where young people can share their experiences, and talk to other people who have had similar experiences is really important in helping them feel less alone.
Callum, another of the Community Champions, said: “As one of the Online Community Champions for CLIC Sargent, I'm looking forward to having the chance to shape the online forum to allow even more young people to share their experiences, get access to advice and be supported by others who understand what it means to deal with diagnosis, treatment and life with and after cancer.”
To take part, visit our Online Community and post your question using #AfterCancerExpert. Members of the Community can post as themselves or anonymously.
