The 400 people who ran for CLIC Sargent in this year's London Marathon have raised an incredible £830,000 for young cancer patients.
On 24 April 2016, 400 runners put on their CLIC Sargent running vests and took part in the London Marathon.
The months they had put into their training and fundraising for this awesome challenge really paid off as they have raised over £830,000 for young cancer patients.
We’d like to thank our wonderful runners for all the hard work and effort they put into their fundraising for the London Marathon and to all of the friends, family and work colleagues who supported them.
A big thank you as well to all the wonderful people who volunteered on the day to cheer and encourage the runners on.
How the money will help
The money that has been raised could help fund running costs for nine of CLIC Sargent’s 10 Homes from Homes for a whole year.
Our Homes from Home give families a free place to stay close to principal treatment centres in Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Belfast, Nottingham, Oxford, and Southampton. Families can stay for as long they need to, and, if their child is well enough, they can stay too.
Just being together, doing little things like watching TV, playing in the garden or sharing a family meal can bring back a sense of normality.
Apply for a CLIC Sargent London Marathon 2017 charity place so that you can run with us and help us to continue the support we provide to young cancer patients, and their families.
