Members of the Buckinghamshire-based Nissan Figaro Owners Club raised £1,000 at its annual club meet in London to support children and young people with cancer.
The Ace Cafe, famous for hosting motorcycle clubs, car clubs and rock 'n' roll since 1959, hosted more than 70 Nissan Figaros from all over Europe.
Around 150 owners came to the event to share stories of their ‘Figgies’, and to see who would be named ‘Car of the Show’.
A successful raffle
Alongside more usual raffle prizes of wine and chocolates, the Nissan Figaro Owners Club's raffle also contained some very niche prizes, such as a Figaro branded watch and even a new roof.
The raffle brought in a massive £805 and was made up to £1,000 by a very generous donation from Pete Witherow of Auto Japanese Spares.
Club founder Kevin Fagan said: “This is the fifth year we have raised for CLIC Sargent and each year it gets bigger and bigger - to date we’ve raised over £2,500, not bad for a little car club.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager James McDonald said: “We are delighted to have been supported by the Nissan Figaro Owners Club - members continue to raise vital funds to support children and young people with cancer.”
