Pupils at Liskeard School and Community College spent a day raising money for CLIC Sargent, a charity which has become extremely close to their hearts.
Mr Glasgow, head of Year 10 at Liskeard School and Community College, said: “Staff and students wore pink and purple for a donation and held numerous activities across the day.
“Brave staff were also placed in the stocks as students paid to bombard them with wet sponges while a number of activities went on throughout the day.”
The fundraiser was organised in support of a current student who is receiving treatment for cancer in Bristol and is being supported by CLIC Sargent.
Mr Glasgow continued: “I am extremely proud of all the students for getting behind this fundraiser and raising an incredible £1,067 for CLIC Sargent."
Making a difference
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Liskeard School and Community College for their amazing support.
“The money they have raised will make a real difference to the young people that CLIC Sargent supports and they should be extremely proud of what they have achieved.”
