Babcock’s Environmental Control Team at Devonport Royal Dockyard was given £350 to donate to a charity of their choice in recognition of their recent success. They unanimously chose CLIC Sargent.
The team of 20 in the Environmental Control Team have been praised by the company for achieving seven years without a time loss accident.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton said: “I would like to congratulate the Babcock team for their incredible achievement.
“Through their teamwork and attention to safety, they have been given the opportunity to support young people with cancer by donating to CLIC Sargent.”
Making a difference
The Babcock team’s generosity could pay for two families to receive the £170 CLIC Sargent grant. Cancer can have a huge effect on a family’s finances and a CLIC Sargent grant is offered to children and young people with cancer, and their families, as soon as they come into contact with us to help meet the sudden extra costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring.
