Sammi from Southampton said goodbye to her long hair when she took on the Big Buzz to support her nephew Jordan and raise money for CLIC Sargent.

Sammi shaves head to support nephew

Sammi said: "When my nephew, Jordan, was three-years-old he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

"He underwent a heroic two years of chemotherapy at Manchester Hospital where he fought through many ups and downs that go along with the treatment.

"He made it through with a smile on his face and is now the bravest, most determined young man I have ever met.

"I vowed that if he had to go through chemo again I would shave my head. We knew this was potentially going to happen.

"For the next three years he has gone to numerous appointments at the hospital, MRIs, opthamology and hormonal treatment.

"He was then told in June that the tumour had grown and that he needed to start a 70 week course of chemo.

CLIC Sargent has supported both Jordan and his mum through all of this and I could not thank them enough.

"So many young people deserve to have something like CLIC Sargent on their side, and CLIC Sargent need support from us to help these fighters."

Sammi managed to raise £1,500 by shaving off 24 inches of her hair.

We hear Jordan is very proud of what she has done and is happy that the money will  help the little boys and girls that he sees in the hospital.
