Participant and Associate Minister of Woodlands Church in Bristol, Philip Jinidu talks about why 600 people took to the streets of Bristol as part of the initiative to help support children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Team 'Love Running'
"'Love Running' is all about getting ordinary people to do something extraordinary. With 600 of us running the Bristol 10k, this year was our biggest yet.
"It's never been about people that love running - most of us find it hard work and a real challenge. Rather, it's about people that want to see love running - love with legs, love in action.
"Because most of the runners are from Bristol churches, it's a way for us to translate our faith into action - get fit, get friends, change the world."
Over £105,000 raised!
"This is our second year of supporting CLIC Sargent, alongside our other causes of international development and crisis response.
"Our total so far is just over £105,000 and growing all the time, and it's been a real privilege to give £17,500 of that to support the amazing work that CLIC Sargent does.
"We're full of admiration for what this charity does and we're really proud to support in a small way. On behalf of all of our runners - from 15 to 83 years old - thank you for allowing us to partner with you."
