Kind-hearted staff and members of the public from The Hilton Hotel East Midlands Airport got into the Easter spirit by donating and delivering 80 Easter eggs to children and young people with cancer.
The hotel has chosen CLIC Sargent as its charity of the year for 2015 and immediately got to work by organising the Easter egg collection.
Melissa Else and Hayden Bowman from The Hilton delivered the eggs to the children’s ward at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham and the Leicester Royal Infirmary, bringing smiles to the faces of each child, who in turn had their pick of the Easter Eggs.
Melissa said: "It was great to meet the children and give them a little smile, it really brought it home just how important CLIC Sargent is and made myself and the rest of the team at the Hilton want to do the best we can.”
The Hilton Hotel will continue to fundraise throughout the year and has agreed to take part in this year's Wig Wednesday on 20 May to support children and young people with cancer.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Andrew Fuller said: “This is a fantastic donation by everyone at the The Hilton Hotel East Midlands Airport - I look forward to working with everyone at the hotel throughout 2015.”
