This September, two CLIC Sargent directors will be joining brave supporters in a jump from at least 10,000ft, as part of the CLIC Sargent world record skydive attempt.
CLIC Sargent’s Director of Services, Dara de Burca, and Director of Communications and Campaigning, Liz North are taking part in CLIC Sargent's world record skydive attempt this September.
CLIC Sargent is appealing for over 700 people to join the mass jump in an attempt to set the world record for the most tandem skydives.
Liz said: “We ask people to do amazing feats for us every day, and we think it’s time to contribute ourselves. I am scared at the idea of jumping out of a plane, but I also think it will be thrilling.”
Dara said: “I could say I am doing this because of a mid-life crisis, or because I am proud to belong to an organisation making a real difference to the lives of people on a difficult journey.
“But the real reason is because I have been touched and inspired by so many children, families and young people while working at CLIC Sargent, who have taught me so much about living life to the full.”
Dara and Liz will be joining the CLIC Sargent world record skydive at Headcorn Airfield in Kent on the weekend of 14 and 15 September 2013.
In total, five airfields across south and central England will be hosting the skydives on this weekend as part of the world record attempt.
