The McGinley Foundation, a registered charity launched recently by European Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley, has been announced as the fourth Official Charity of The 2014 Ryder Cup.
The Irishman announced the four specific charitable causes close to his heart, both on a personal and professional level, which will benefit from the exclusive support of The McGinley Foundation during its term as an Official Charity.
Speaking at The Gleneagles Hotel, where he will lead Europe’s defence of The Ryder Cup against the United States next September, McGinley said: "My relationship with CLIC Sargent goes back and both my wife, Ally, and I think it is such a great charity.
"When you see the support they give to children, and the families of those children suffering from cancer, it is truly uplifting."
Suzi Usiskin, Head of Partnership Development at CLIC Sargent commented: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the charity and we are delighted to have been chosen by The McGinley Foundation.
"We are looking forward to working with the Foundation, and alongside the other chosen charities on this exciting global event."
