Coleraine Academy 2006's will be sporting CLIC Sargent logos on their home and away kits for the upcoming season, to show their support and help raise awareness.
The young team chose to add CLIC Sargent's logo to their kits rather than a sponsor and raised £299 for the charity at their small sided games awards night.
Gary Devenney, 2006 head coach, said: "CLIC Sargent has done a lot of wonderful work in the local area, working with various families who are and were going through a very hard time.
"We raised the money for the kits ourselves rather than seek sponsorship for them and thought it would be a nice touch to feature CLIC Sargent on the home and away kits instead."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Gareth McElduff was invited to the Showgrounds in Ballymena for the unveiling. He said: "A massive thanks to Gary and all at the club. Both kits look amazing and are a great way of raising awareness of the Charity in the local Coleraine area and beyond!"
What could this money do?
Last year CLIC Sargent supported more than 280 children and young people with cancer, and their families, from Northern Ireland. We gave nearly 200 grants, to a value of over £39,000, to help families deal with the financial impact of cancer.
£229 could pay for a family to stay at one of our Homes from Home for a month, ensuring they are close to their child during treatment.
