Zaccys is a new British fashion brand specialising in women’s luxury wedge espadrilles.
It was founded in London in 2015 by Meg Cope, a former consultant eye surgeon with over 20 years experience in medicine working for the NHS.
In 2012, Meg took a career break to look after her youngest child, Zac, after he was diagnosed with leukaemia. He successfully completed his treatment in 2015, when Meg chose to name her new venture after her son.
Integral to the creation of the Zaccys brand is the desire to repay the tremendous support that Meg and her family received during her son’s illness.
Zaccys has therefore entered into fundraising partnerships with both CLIC Sargent and Children With Cancer UK, and has committed to making a contribution of £2 from the sale of every pair of Zaccys, shared equally between the two charities.
An invaluable service
Meg Cope said: ”We are thrilled to be partnering with CLIC Sargent. Their work is instrumental in reducing the burden of a cancer diagnosis in the life of a child or young person and their family. Every Zaccys customer will be contributing directly to this invaluable service.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Charlie Straker said: “I am delighted that Zaccys have chosen to partner with CLIC Sargent. It’s always special to work with those who are truly grateful for the support they have received, that they want to give back to the charity.
"Zaccys is a wonderful brand and I know that every customer will be delighted with their espadrilles and in knowing that they have helped two worthwhile causes.
"CLIC Sargent can currently only support two out of three children and young people with cancer. But with long-term partnerships such as Zaccys, we will be able to continue our support and reach our aim of helping three out of three."
