11 year old Lochlan from Essex is a keen go-karter travelling at speeds of up to 55mph. Is he the next Lewis Hamilton in the making?
Lochlan recently came 2nd in the final of the Honda Cadets race at Kimbolton despite the wet and windy weather.
He has chosen to fundraise for CLIC Sargent through his karting and has already raised over £150.
Lochlan said: "I've been racing go-karts for nearly four years now and I cannot think of anything that's more exciting. I just love it and I love winning; it is just the best feeling ever!
Although I complain to Dad that I need a faster, newer kart or engine I know that I am really, really lucky to be able to race. This year we have supported friends who have been fundraising for CLIC Sargent and it has made me want to do something for children with cancer and their families."
Karen Roberts, CLIC Sargent Funraising Manager said: "Lochlan is obviously a very talented, as well as a very caring, young man and thanks to the support he receives from his family and friends he is able to raise funds in support of our work. CLIC Sargent would like to wish him well in his racing and thank him for not only raising funds but also awareness of the charity at the race meetings."
