A team of 18 volunteers went to Elland Road, home of Leeds United Football Club, on Saturday 21 September to hold a match day collection.
Supporters dug deep and gave generously, raising £1,100 for children and young people with cancer.
The club then invited the collectors to watch the game from excellent seats and also chose a young boy currently supported by CLIC Sargent to go onto the pitch as team mascot for the match.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Noemie Salvaudon said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to Leeds United for their support over the years and especially for Saturday. We all really enjoyed it especially the mascot and his dad who had an amazing time.
"The collection was a great opportunity to meet some of our fantastic volunteers face-to-face and thank them for their support; it also motivated them to help even more.
"The funds raised will make a real difference, allowing us to support children and young people with cancer, and their families. For example, £1,100 could pay towards six CLIC Sargent Support Grants."
