The Analysis and Insight Team at Lloyds Banking Group in London have voluntarily decorated one of CLIC Sargent's Homes from Home during their Make A Difference Week.
The Analysis and Insight Team from the company's east London office, volunteered to paint and decorate Sam’s House, one of CLIC Sargent's Homes from Home in Bristol.
CLIC Sargent's eight Homes from Home are located in Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Nottingham, Oxford, and Southampton and offer free accommodation to families whilst their children receive cancer treatment in nearby treatment centres.
Fundraising for CLIC Sargent
Lloyds Banking Group group even raised the money need for decorating supplies by organising different fundraising activities, including holding a Krispy Kreme sale which went down a treat with the office!
They made donations to a JustGiving page in order to vote for a ‘nasty’ or ‘nice’ treat for the Head of Customer Analytics.
Group members could vote either ‘nasty’ and make the keen Welsh fan wear an English Rugby shirt for the day as he is a very keen, or ‘nice’ and make him treat his team to a cooked breakfast. The majority voted for the nice treat!
The team also organised a cake sale and pub quiz to help raise additional funds, bringing their total to an incredible additional £982.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Elizabeth Charing said: “Thank you to everyone from Lloyds Banking Group who supported CLIC Sargent through fundraising activities and volunteering at Sam’s House.
Their support has made a direct difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer, and their families across the UK.”
