The Marlow Rugby Union Football Club U12s have added CLIC Sargent’s logo to their playing kit so that they can support young lives against cancer.
Ewen Hunter, BAM construction manager and Marlow Rugby Union Football Club U12s coach, has organised a new set of playing kit for the mini rugby team, with CLIC Sargent’s logo on the shorts!
The kits arrived just in time for the Bournemouth Festival, one of the largest organised events in mini rugby. This allowed the Marlow U12s to wear their new kits for the very first time, which obviously gave them great confidence and commitment as they came first in the tournament!
The Marlow U12s hope to take this success into the next season, where they will continue to support CLIC Sargent and promote their new kit.
A great connection
Ewen said: “I work for BAM Construction in the UK and this year we are working closely with CLIC Sargent as our chosen charity. I also coach each Sunday morning a mini rugby team for Marlow RFU, a group of approximately 40 enthusiastic U12 boys.
“We believe there is a great connection between what CLIC Sargent represents and our passion for sport with children.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Charlie Straker said: “We’re so grateful to Ewen and the Marlow U12s for their support. The tournament was not only a chance for the team to don their new kits, but they also managed to raise over £160 from parents, with more donations coming in.
“I’m really excited to see what the future holds for this team, and we’re very lucky to have such talented supporters on board!”
