Long term supporters of CLIC Sargent, 'Team Anna', have raised £380 for the charity with a Mother's Day market, taking the total raised by the group to over £9,000.
Anna’s parents Cath and Paul, with members of 'Team Anna', have been raising funds for CLIC Sargent after the charity help to support their family following their daughter’s cancer diagnosis in August 2013.
On Sunday 23 March 2014, members of 'Team Anna' held a Mother’s Day market at Pioneer Health Studio in Bacup.
The public were invited to come and browse the stalls to find gifts for Mother’s day. There were a variety of stalls at the event selling gifts including jewellery, books, scarves, wooden gifts, towel cakes, sweets and handmade gifts.
A raffle was also held, with prizes donated by stallholders and Morrisons supermarket. The team also held a cake stall, selling cakes and cupcakes donated by friends and members of 'Team Anna'.
There was even a special donation to the cake stall from Anna herself who had baked and decorated her own cupcakes with the help of her granny.
'Team Anna' raises over £9,000
This event follows the successful schools non-uniform day held on 14 February 2014 which raised a grand total of £3562.89 and took the total amount of money raised by 'Team Anna' over the last seven months to over £9,000.
Upcoming events now include a team entry into the Rossendale Triathlon, a cake stall at the Stacksteads Summer Festival on Saturday 7 June 2014, a Zumbathon and a ladies night.
