John Agnew, from Altrincham, Cheshire, recently joined the growing numbers of people taking on the challenge to shave their head to raise money for CLIC Sargent.
When John's son was diagnosed with cancer, John decided he wanted to raise money for the charities who had supprted him and his family, CLIC Sargent and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. For health reasons, a marathon or physical challenge was not an option, so the fundraising call to action to become a Life Shaver was perfect for John and he decided to be part of the Big Buzz and shave his head. John even tried out some wacky new looks on the way to maximise his fundraising, including a long pink wig, and a ‘Prodigy’ inspired punk makeover.
John raised a phenomenal £3,955, an amazing acheivement. Many of his sponsors were motivated to donate by his willingness to try new looks and pose for silly photos with his family in the name of a good cause – why not join the fun and fundraise through trying a new look yourself?
