A group from the Leicester Navigators have used their feet to raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Rachel Nash and a few of her fellow Leicester Navigators have raised a fantastic £422.46 completing a 17 mile sponsored walk around Rutland Water in the East Midlands.
Rachel and her team of walkers smashed their target of £250 and these funds will now help support the Zoe Blacklock Fund.
Rachel said: “I chose to support CLIC Sargent because my friend's four year old granddaughter has brain cancer and is being treated far from home."
CLIC Sargent have been wonderful in providing free accommodation for the family.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Hannah Auer, said: “A huge thank you to Rachel and her friends for taking on the challenge, this is a fantastic achievement!
“Their support will go a long way in supporting our work with children and young people living with cancer and could help us to provide free self-catered accommodation to two families for six nights at one of our Homes from Home.”
