Staff from Fitzgerald Lighting in Bodmin raised £126 on Wig Wednesday last year and this year they are looking to surpass that figure as they prepare to don wigs on 20 May to raise vital funds for CLIC Sargent.

Fitzgerald Lighting employee Demelza Udy said: “As an organisation we are keen to do our bit for charity and have full management backing to do this.

"One of our employees approached us to ask if we could participate in the Wig Wednesday event as her grandson had just been given the all clear from a long battle with cancer, and her family were looking to give something back for the wonderful support they were given through one of the hardest fights of their lives, therefore we couldn’t resist.”

We had great fun while raising money for such a fantastic cause.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Georgina Reed said: “We are so pleased that Fitzgerald Lighting is showing its support for Wig Wednesday again. Its continued support will make a huge difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer.”
