Button art business owner raises £311

The beautiful piece of button art Jennie made to raffle raised an amazing £311 to help support children and young people with cancer.

Jennie said: "When I started my button business my first 'real' customer was the next door neighbour to my cousin. I then saw how her life had been completely turned upside down by what her and her family were going through.

"I felt compelled to help and as I had seen how popular my button art had become I had the idea to do a raffle. Collectively, the amount raised was more than I had ever expected. Even small donations in large amounts can really help to make a difference."

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Karen Roberts said: "CLIC Sargent is really grateful to Jennie and everyone who took part in the raffle.

"Without the support of the general public, CLIC Sargent would not be able to provide vital support to children young people with cancer and their families."
