The Busy Bees Nursery and Busy Bears Nursery in Durham held two sponsored toddles with a mythical and magical fancy dress theme and raised over £4,000 for CLIC Sargent.
Emma Graham, the Nursery owner said, “We held two events for CLIC Sargent this year - sponsored toddles in both of our nurseries. The first one was at Busy Bees Nursery and was very successful and well supported. The second one was at Busy Bears Nursery and was just as well supported by the families and children involved."
"The toddle walks were for children 0-5 years and their families and the theme this year has been mythical and magical creatures. Some of the fancy dress outfits were fantastic!
"This is an event we have carried out each year for many years and each year we choose a charity that usually is special to us as a nursery. We have had children in both nurseries who have been diagnosed with cancer in recent years and feel delighted to support the great efforts of CLIC Sargent.”
Lindsay Kay, Area Fundraising Manager for CLIC Sargent in the North East & Cumbria said, “We are absolutely thrilled Busy Bees and Busy Bears have made this wonderful contribution.
"We really appreciate the hard work and generosity that has gone in to raising the pounds – every penny raised will help provide vital support for children and young people with cancer, and their families.”
