Belfast Giants Captain Adam Keefe is calling on companies across Northern Ireland to sign up to CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland's Corporate Sports Day Cup, to help raise funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The event offers plenty of opportunity to have fun and shake off the stresses of work with an array of sporting activities, local sporting celebrities, live music and a free barbecue.
Adam Keefe explains: "I'm calling on businesses across Northern Ireland to blow off some steam and burn up some energy at the CLIC Sargent Corporate Sports Day!
"Every week in Northern Ireland, two children and young people are diagnosed with cancer. So please sign your company up today to help CLIC Sargent provide practical, financial and emotional support to these children, young people and their families."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Nadine Campbell said: "Whether you wish to come with your team to compete for our Corporate Cup or if you simply want to spectate, everyone is welcome to join us at the Northern Ireland Civil Service Sports Pavilion Stormont Belfast.
"This sports day for the young at heart will include five-a-side footie, rounders, relay, sack race, egg and spoon race, three-legged race and an obstacle course.
"Aside from these exciting activities there will also be entertainment with live music by Michael Donaghy and Sam Wickens, as well as a free barbecue on offer- with this being included in the £50 minimum sponsorship per person. Please note that free car parking and changing room facilities will be available on site."
Where will the money go?
All the money raised from the event will go towards the provision of support and Homes from Home for children and young people with cancer. CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland's core support includes CLIC Sargent Social Workers, grants, holidays and information services.
