Namco staff get baking to take on £170 challenge

The team from the Norwich branch of the bowling and entertainment centre are preparing to show off their baking skills as they take part in the 'Power of Cake' - whipping up tasty treats to sell to workmates and customers to raise at least £170 for CLIC Sargent.

Rebekka Arnold, Namco Funscape marketing manager, said: “We’re really excited to take on the £170 challenge for CLIC Sargent because we know how vital these funds are to families living in Norfolk.

“We are going to get our nifty fiftys involved with the baking and hold it as a coffee morning, with lots of cakes baked by staff and customers and all proceeds being donated to CLIC Sargent of course.

“We’re also 'Going Retro' with all staff dressing up and donating £3 to CLIC Sargent; it’s going to be great fun!”

Annual open day

On Saturday 24 October, Namco Funscape Norwich will hold its annual open day with fun activities in support of CLIC Sargent, with all invited to attend between 1pm and 5pm.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Daisy Turner said: “We are thrilled Namco has taken on the £170 challenge as part of the partnership.

"£170 is the grant CLIC Sargent gives to families after a child is diagnosed with cancer, to stop unexpected costs like parking and petrol becoming a problem.”
